International Translation Day is celebrated on September 30. This date was established by the International Federation of Translators (IFT) over 35 years ago and adopted by the United Nations in 2017.

He is considered the "patron saint of translators", so September 30 is also the feast day of Saint Jerome in Catholic traditions.
